Yes, I occasionally cut myself but it is not major issue
I rarely cut myself but see the BarbSaver as a better alternative as its easy, quick and safe to use.

This tool is perfect for anyone NEW to micro-drip systems
This tool should have been invented 20 years ago!
Before learning about BarbSaver, I would rather replace 2 lawn sprinklers than deal with a micro-drip issue.
The blade changing process was similar to that of a utility knifes
