  • I understand that rats are very social animals and cannot live alone.  I agree to keep my rats housed together unless there are severe mitigating factors like behavioral or health issues.*
  • Rats will only be adopted out in pairs or more unless the adopter has other rats at home.  I agree to keep my rats in pairs or more, but not alone.*
  • If your rats must be rehomed for any reason, you must contact Second Chance Heroes.  SCH will always work with adopters to try to make the adoption work, but we will also take back rats if needed.*
  • I agree to provide my rats with veterinary care if they become sick or get injured*
  • Rats are adopted out as pets only.  As such, I agree that I will not use them to breed, as food for other animals, or in sports such as barn hunt.*
  • I agree to pay the non refundable adoption fee of $35 per pair, $20 per individual (only applies if you have other rats at home)*
