Program Overview
The Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Course offered by Bay River College is a self-paced online course that enables participants to advance and finish the course within the allocated time at their own pace. Participants will learn about the planning, implementation, and assessment of infection prevention and control in a variety of healthcare settings over the course of 16 weeks and 100 hours of immersive and asynchronous online learning. The course curriculum incorporates evidence-based
learning backed by theoretical and conceptual tenets in order to represent contemporary instructional approaches.
Certification
The completion of the BRC's IPAC Online Course does not certify the participant as an Infection Prevention & Control practitioner, but it does prepare the participant for the CIC examination. (Please hyperlink this to https://www.cbic.org/CBIC/Get-Certified.htm)
Course Delivery
The course material is provided in 15 modules and is accompanied by bi-weekly assessments. All biweekly quizzes and assignments are due by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on Fridays. To finish this course and acquire the completion certificate, participants must earn an overall average of 65 percent and complete all assignments and assessments.
Tax Form
This is a course for professional development. This indicates that course participants are not considered BRC students and that the course cost is not considered tuition. Therefore, NO T2202A tax forms are available for this course.
