Creators Film Festival Judge Application

Judges help the festival do what it was made for: judge which films should be shown to the world! A Creators Film Festival Judge needs to be committed, willing to watch numerous submissions, and willing to judge the films on merit.

If you are accepted you will receive a two day pass for our Festival.

We accept Judges from any background and from all over the world.

All submissions are handled online. In order for you to start volunteering remotely, an active internet connection is REQUIRED.

RESPONSIBILITIES

(If you cannot commit to following requirements, please do not apply.)

● Watch and judge the incoming submissions each month.

● Contribute to the ratings and reviews for each submission you watch.

QUALIFICATIONS

● Reliability with deadlines.

● Ability to clearly articulate what you liked or disliked about a submission in the English language.

● Willing to familiarize yourself with our mission and values.

COMMITMENT OF TIME

● 6 hrs of screening per week December 2022 - August 2023.

● Availability for annual meeting in the Fall.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND ETHICS

Judges may not submit to the Festival. You are prohibited for judging any film that you, your family, your romantic partner, your school or any member of your household has had any part in creating. You have a responsibility to exclude yourself from watching any film you feel you cannot impartially judge.
