    Hall of Fame Nomination Form

    Class of 2025
  • Program Overview:

The Florida High School Athletic Hall of Fame was founded in 1991 to recognize and preserve the heritage of high school athletics in Florida, to keep alive their tradition and spirit, and to honor each year those persons who through distinguished achievement have excelled in one or more high school athletic programs sponsored by the Association and its member schools. To date, 247 deserving individuals have been enshrined in the Florida High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

    Criteria for Induction:

Nominees may be retired from their field, or still active. All nominees will be judged on their significant and/or long-term contributions to high school athletics. While many have served their schools or areas over a long and distinguished career, their accomplishments must have been worthy of statewide recognition for them to be considered. Longevity, without meaningful statewide impact, does not constitute appropriate credentials for Hall of Fame consideration. Worthy candidates are those individuals who have raised the level of awareness in high school athletics through their distinguished achievement and excellence in one or more of the high school athletic programs sponsored by the FHSAA or through their contributions to high school athletics in other fields of work. Candidates must exemplify the highest standards of sportsmanship, ethical conduct, and moral character. The nominee's character throughout their life will receive primary consideration. The screening committee is tough and demanding in their evaluation of each nomination.

The categories of student-athlete, coach, administrator, contest official and contributor are included on the nomination form for expediency in understanding the primary area in which an individual is to be considered for his or her achievements. These groupings are for screening purposes only and to assist those submitting the nominations understand the type of information required. To further explain the criteria:
