Eligibility

Who are eligible for a work residence permit?

1. A director in a Georgian Limited Liability Company.
2. Registered as an Individual Entrepreneur in Georgia.
3. Employed by a Georgian Limited Liability Company or an Individual Entrepreneur.

If you are one of the above, you are eligible.

Certificate

The application documents include a certificate indicating the number of foreign employees and your entrepreneurial or labor activity. We will provide the template of the certificate.

It's best for the certificate to be signed by a third person. This is usually an accountant.

You signing the certificate yourself (for your own application) may not be acceptable to the Service Development Agency.

Proof of Sufficient Income/Funds

The application documents include proof of sufficient income/funds. This can be one of the following documents:

1. An employment agreement or a certificate of employment indicating your fixed monthly salary. The monthly salary should exceed 1,300 GEL.
2. A bank statement issued by a Georgian bank indicating that the total funds present in your personal bank account exceed 15,000 GEL (or equivalent in other currencies).

Please note that both documents need to be:

1. Original (with original signature and preferably with a stamp);
2. In Georgian;
3. Recent by the time of the application.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a residence permit for the purpose of family reunification, you need to be a family member of a person holding a Georgian residence permit.

In this case, a family member is defined as:

1. A spouse of a Georgian resident.
2. A parent, guardian, or custodian of a Georgian resident younger than 18 years old.
3. A minor child (younger than 18 years old) of a Georgian resident.

Important

Please note that the document proving your relationship with your family member needs to be original. If this document is not Georgian, it will need to be apostilled/legalized in the country where it was issued, and then translated and notarized in Georgia.

Proof of Sufficient Income/Funds

The application documents include proof of sufficient income/funds. This can be one of the following documents:

1. An employment agreement or a certificate of employment indicating your fixed monthly salary. The monthly salary should exceed 500 GEL.
2. A bank statement issued by a Georgian bank indicating that the total funds present in your personal bank account exceed 6,000 GEL (or equivalent in other currencies).

Please note that both documents need to be:

1. Original (with original signature and preferably with a stamp).
2. In Georgian.
3. Recent by the time of the application.

Eligibility

To be eligible for an investment residence permit, you need to:

1. Own immovable property located within the territory of Georgia (except for agricultural land) with its market value exceeding 100,000 USD (equivalent in GEL); or
2. Be a spouse or child of such a property owner.

Market Value

If you own immovable property and you are not applying for the renewal of the short-term residence permit, this is relevant for you.

You need to obtain a valuation report issued by a certified evaluator that indicates that the market value of the property owned by you exceeds 100,000 USD (equivalent in GEL).

Don't worry, we will help you with this.

Please also note that the valuation report needs to be recent at the time of the submission of the application.

Eligibility

To be eligible for an investment residence permit, you need to:

1. Own immovable property located within the territory of Georgia (except for agricultural land) with its market value exceeding 300,000 USD (equivalent in GEL); or
2. Invest in Georgia in the amount of at least 300,000 USD (equivalent in GEL) in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Investment Activity Promotion and Guarantees; or
3. Be a family member of such a property owner / investor.

In this case, a family member is defined as:

1. A spouse of the property owner / investor.
2. A minor child (younger than 18 years old) of the property owner / investor.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a permanent living permit, you need to:

1. Have lived in Georgia for the last 10 years on the basis of a temporary residence permit (note: this period does not include the period of residence in Georgia for study or medical treatment, and the period of work at diplomatic missions and equivalent missions); or
2. Be a family member of a Georgian citizen.

In this case, a family member is defined as:

1. A spouse of a Georgian citizen.
2. A parent of a Georgian citizen younger than 18 years old.
3. A minor child (younger than 18 years old) of a Georgian citizen.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a study residence permit, you need to be studying at an authorized educational institution in Georgia.

Proof of Sufficient Income/Funds

The application documents include proof of sufficient income/funds. This can be one of the following documents:

1. An employment agreement or a certificate of employment indicating your fixed monthly salary. The monthly salary should exceed 500 GEL.
2. A bank statement issued by a Georgian bank indicating that the total funds present in your personal bank account exceed 6,000 GEL (or equivalent in other currencies).
