Adventure & Bike Ventures Camp

Thanks to the generous contributions of our supporters, we are able to offer bursaries to subsidize up to 95% of camp fees. Since 2011, we’ve donated over 400 weeks of camp to those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend.

Families are welcome to apply when financial assistance is required due to lower income or special family circumstances. Applicants are asked to explain why they are applying for a bursary but no financial information is required.

Applications are assessed on a first come first served basis. The bursary application will close once funding is exhausted.

Once reviewed and approved, we will register successful applicants and apply the bursary. You will be given instructions as to how to complete your registration and pay any fees owed. If you have already registered and paid for camp, we can apply the bursary retroactively.

Part 2: Financial Need

This table offers suggested subsidies for one session of Adventure Camp (5-day Explorers camp) based on annual household income. Please note that values may change depending on which camp session you are applying for. These rates are guided by the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) as determined by Statistics Canada, with consideration for Toronto's cost of living. Note: this table is only a suggestion and your family circumstances may not fit these specific guidelines.

Media Release Form

I understand and agree that pictures and/or videos of my child(ren) captured while participating in Evergreen programs may be used to support Evergreen’s mission including in promotional activities. They may be published or used for any application in newspapers, magazines, film, television commercials, posters, website, slide presentations, electronic communication formats, or otherwise displayed to the public or used for educational, fundraising, communication, information or training purposes—either in whole or in part by Evergreen or a third party on Evergreen’s behalf. Bursary Program Refund and Cancellation Policy

No refunds will be issued if a reservation is cancelled by a participant within 21 days of the session start date. Otherwise, program fees are refundable, less 10% administrative fee. Please note, registrations are non-transferable.

Cancellations due to medical reasons are subject to the 10% administrative fee and you may be required to provide a doctor’s note in order to receive a refund.

Refunds (less the registration deposit) will be issued should Evergreen cancel program days due to changing public health regulations or COVID-19 related closures. Evergreen retains the right to change our refund policy without notice to adapt to the evolving public health situation.

Requests for cancellations must be made in writing and submitted to camp@evergreen.ca.

Conditions of Enrollment

By registering your child (ren) for the Evergreen's Adventure & Bike Ventures Camp you acknowledge, understand and agree to the following terms and conditions.

Waiver and Release of Liability

1. I waive and release Evergreen, its agents, servants, employees, insurers, successors and assigns from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages or suits at law and equity of any kind, including, but not limited to, claims for personal injury, property damage, medical expenses, and loss of services on account of or in any way related to or growing out of my child’s participation in an Evergreen camp program;
2. This waiver and release is intended to and does release Evergreen from any and all liability for damages or injuries on account of or in any way related to or growing out of my negligence, the negligence of third parties and Evergreen’s negligence. This is not intended to release Evergreen from any liability resulting from its intentional conduct;
3. I understand that Evergreen is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged valuables;
4. I acknowledge that I have received and read a copy of the current rules and regulations governing Evergreen camp participants and that I agree that I and my child will fully comply with all rules and regulations and with any amendments;

Assumption of Risk

5. I agree, acknowledge and understand that participation in Evergreen camp will include partaking in physical activities, which may take place out-of-doors, possibly during inclement weather, and as with any physical activity, there is a risk of injury;
6. I agree, acknowledge and understand that while the health and safety of participants and staff is always the first priority for Evergreen, participation in camp activities is not totally without risk;
7. I agree to assume the risk of injury or harm from the activities undertaken;

Medical Treatment Authorization

8. I consent in the event of injury or illness while my child is under the supervision of Evergreen to receive first aid and/or any further medical attention that potentially may be required to the extent determined by, and at the discretion of Evergreen staff, emergency medical services, and licensed medical professionals;
