Please understand that we will do our best to grant approval to all time off requests but unforeseen events may require that you alter your time off request. Please use the below instructions to help us grant your request:
A) Time off requests are evaluated on a first come, first serve basis. Please submit your time off request as soon as you are aware of the need.
B) Please submit time off requests at least 14 days prior to the need of time off.
C) Please avoid requesting time off during in-service days as much as possible. This is valuable time we have set aside for teacher learning. In-Service days for 2025-2026 currently include: October 23-24, December 5, January 19, February 25, March 26-27, June 19, June 23-24, and August 17-21.
D) We also ask that you be conservative about requesting days off either before or after school closures (Thanksgiving, December, April break, etc.). Time off requests for the two days following school closures are not allowed except under special circumstances – please check with Sarah or Megan before requesting these days off. We understand that these can be popular days to request off because we all want a longer vacation, however, we are careful about granting these requests given the high demand, the fact that we have all just been on vacation, and the likelihood of last-minute call-outs following a vacation.
E) Please limit time off request to one per submission.
F) Once your Request has been evaluated you will receive either an approval or denial email within three days.
