Safety and health
- I will not leave the gate on foot prior to 7:30am or after 5:30pm.
- I will notify the office when leaving and returning from the facility.
- I will communicate any medical conditions, allergies, etc. to the office so they can make accommodations and/or help me in the case of an emergency.
- I will use a flashlight when walking around after dark.
- I will keep lodging doors closed/tent zipped.
- I will not approach or touch wild animals or reptiles.
- I understand that recreational drugs or tobacco products are not allowed at our facility.
- I understand that The Olmalaika Trust & African Springs Safaris Ltd. including their employees cannot be held liable for any theft, injury/illness, death, damage, accident, or loss occurring during this trip.
Mistreatment/harassment
- I will report any instances of harassment, mistreatment, or bullying to the office or director and understand that any of this behavior on my part will not be tolerated.
Attendance policy
- I will follow the schedule provided by the staff/director and be punctual, knowing that other people are counting on me.
Flexible work arrangements
- I will communicate any desired changes to my schedule or tasks to the office. I understand they will try to make accommodations for me when reasonable and possible.
Compliance/disciplinary action
- If I am unable to comply with volunteer guidelines and policies, I understand that I may be asked to leave.
Cultural awareness
- I understand that I may experience cultural differences that I am not familiar with or may not agree with but I will not push my culture/beliefs on others and will be respectful to everyone.
Permissions
- I give permission to take photographs and / or video of myself. I grant full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the aims of The Olmalaika Trust and / or African Springs Safaris Ltd.
