New Reporter Grant Application

SPS FALL GRANT - DEADLINE NOVEMBER 28, 2022
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

The Grant Committee will be looking for the following criteria first. You are encouraged to apply even if you may be outside of this criteria as each application will be reviewed on its own merits and your application will help us determine where our resources can be helpful.

1.   Captioners who have obtained a Certificate of Completion from a reputable captioning company or school within 12 months of application date.

2.   Reporters (machine or real-time mask writers) who have obtained a Certificate of Completion from a reputable school within 12 months of application date.

3.   Reporters who are currently enrolled and working in an apprentice program for less than 2 years as a working reporter under the tutelage of a certified reporter.

4.   Court reporting and captioning professionals who have been working less than one year.
WHO CAN APPLY

New Reporters may personally apply.

Applicants (friends, family, colleagues) may nominate a New Reporter for consideration, as long as all of the required information is completed by the deadline.

Applicants (friends, family, colleagues) are required to provide their contact information as well as the New Reporter's information when nominating a New Reporter for this award. Once you click "submit," the New Reporter will automatically be sent a notification of your nomination.

All applications must be signed by either the New Reporter OR the Applicant who is nominating the New Reporter. Unsigned applications will not be considered. Contact information of Applicants nominating a New Reporter is required.
