STC Call for Entries

Announcing the November 2023 Call for Entries:
Wake up - Change the Stage!
** Deadline Friday, June 23, 2023**

Guidelines:

Who is eligible? All high School theatre, dance and film students.
Vignettes, films and dances must be no longer than 7 minutes and be based on the theme: “ Wake up - Change the Stage! ”
Submissions must include both:
- a video component (uploaded or a link to YouTube, Vimeo,etc.)
- and a full script (theatre, film) or a written description (dance)
Scripts and choreography must be original and created by students of the class performing; there is no cast size limit.
If your piece is selected for the conference there is a mandatory dress/tech rehersal TBD at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post.

You will receive an email confirmation once your submission is received.

Entries will be evaluated by a panel including educators, theatre, film and dance professionals. Evaluations are based on artistic content, social message and impact. Up to four performances will be selected to be featured at the November, 2023 conference, in person.

Accepted submissions will be notified no later than October 1, 2023.

Important: In person performing groups are required to attend one dress/technical rehearsal at Tilles Center just prior to the conference, date TBD.
