The Chest Wall Injury Summit Program Committee encourages you to submit an abstract for poster presentation at the 2023 CWISummit. The goal of the Summit is to exchange ideas about best practices in the daily delivery of excellent patient care.
There may be areas of controversy, where your research and experience can help participants choose the best practice for their individual patients. The abstracts may be research-focused, clinical-focused, or program-focused. They may also include case reports or limited-size patient series projects.
How to Submit:
Submit online prior to Wednesday, March 15 at 11:59 PM MT. Submissions must be 500 words or fewer.
Multiple submissions per individual/institution are encouraged, however, no more than two will be accepted for presentation. Submitting an abstract represents a commitment to attend the 2023 Chest Wall Injury Summit and timely submission of materials as requested if accepted.
Presentation Format:
Accepted posters will be expected to send or bring printed posters on-site at the 2023 CWISummit. Electronic posters will not be available on-site, but may be viewable online if provided.
There will be time available for poster walk-abouts during the CWISummit agenda, as well as time available for a small group of posters to be presented based on selection in March 2023. More details will be provided in December 2022.
Selection Criteria:
Individuals who submit abstracts should ensure that they provide sufficient detail so that reviewers will be able to evaluate the authors’ research design, data, analysis, and results.
If the submission of additional material is preferred by the author(s), please upload accordingly. Please email CWIS if you experience any technical challenges.
Abstract Review and Selection:
Submission review will be performed by the CWIS Program Committee and will begin immediately after the deadline. All submissions will be blinded for review and ranking.
Applicants will receive an email notification on or before Saturday, December 31 regarding abstract acceptance for presentation at the 2023 Chest Wall Injury Summit.
