Children's Film Festival Seattle 2023: Field Trip Registration

In 2023, Northwest Film Forum's Children's Film Festival Seattle is celebrating 18 years of international family film exhibition! CFFS field trip offerings include nine different short film programs that are available for both in-person screenings at the Northwest Film Forum as well as virtual screenings via a private film screening link.

All programs are priced at $7 per student, with scholarship opportunities for youth that qualify for reduced and low-income lunch. Field trips come with a CFFS coloring page and an activity/discussion packet.

In-person field trips must take place after February 3rd, 2023. Screening times are available Wednesday - Friday, between 10:30am to 4:30pm. NWFF COVID Policies must be followed.

Virtual field trips will be provided as a private film screening link to share with your students and/or use on your dates of your instruction!

Pre-K to Grade 3: Cute Critters - Each critter in this collection of films has its own special adventure - from a T-Rex trying to play basketball to a bear wanting to experience a winter day. This program features films from Estonia, Canada, Spain, the Czech Republic, Germany, France, and the United States. Pre-K to Grade 3: Icing on the Cake - In this lively and vibrant mix of animated films, watch how characters' adventures help them learn lessons of friendship and being yourself. This program includes films from Indonesia, Canada, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Germany, and the United States. Grades 3-4: Musical Moments - From helpful robots to violin-playing beetles, this collection of shorts will take you on a musical journey that will leave your foot taping and heart full. This program includes films from Estonia, Palestine, Taiwan, France, the Netherlands, Argentina, Germany, Russia, and the United States. Grades 3-5: Promise to the Planet - These inspiring stories feature both kids and critters fighting to protect our natural home. This program includes films from India, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Colombia and the United States. Grades 5-8: Folklore Tales - These films highlight folklore from cultures around the world. Follow along to see how shared creation stories, heritage, and tradition reflect into the lives we live today and bring us closer to a community. This program features films from Belgium, Canada, Taiwan, Switzerland, France, and the United States. Grades 5-8: Inspiring Kids - This collection of documentary films proves kids can do anything: mischievously sell rocks, brilliantly code, embrace disability, and so much more! This program features films from Israel, Taiwan, and the United States. Grades 6+: Rainbow Roar - These films celebrate diverse relationships with identity and how we can find belonging and support within our friendships, families, and communities. This program features films from Sweden, Canada, the Netherlands, and the United States. Grades 6+: Spanish Language - Take a journey through life's ups and downs in this all-Spanish language program. This program features films from Colombia, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Mexico. Grades 9+: Teen Block - This eclectic collection of films for teens includes everything from wacky animation to characters dealing with depression. This program includes films from China, Israel, Mexico, Iran, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
