Ecology Project International (EPI) Teacher Fellowships each offer a unique view into science and conservation, taking you into the field with researchers to collect important wildlife conservation data.
On each EPI Teacher Fellowship, we aim to:
- Develop your familiarity with EPI’s approach to education through field science.
- Celebrate and reconnect you with the fundamentals of how students learn.
- Provide unique experiences and activities to take back to your classroom.
- Build a supportive network of educators working toward similar goals.
- Introduce you to EPI’s work and encourage future student courses.
Educator Eligibility:
- Formal and informal educators from any country are welcome to apply.
- EPI's curriculum is best suited to educators teaching at the middle school, high school, or university level, and applications from these educators are given preference.
- Applications from educators of any subject are welcome.
- In the interest of creating a diverse and well-rounded group of Fellows, it’s unlikely two applicants from the same school would be selected for the same program. If you'd like to apply with a colleague, please check out our other PD programs.
- EPI Fellows who have participated in the past are not eligible to apply.
If Selected:
- EPI covers all costs for selected Teacher Fellows, minus airfare to the program site and a program support fee ranging from $300 - $600.
- Selected EPI Fellows are expected to actively engage in pre-course preparation calls, complete pre-course and post-course assignments, and serve as enthusiastic ambassadors for the EPI community.
The EPI Teacher Fellowship application period is open from July 1st to September 1st annually. Applications will be reviewed & evaluated in the order they're received.
