Thank you for completing this application! I will get back you as soon as possible.
By completing this application it shows your interest in our up-and-coming litters but it does not guarantee you will receive a puppy from us. We, as the breeder, can refuse any application or placement at any time. And we will always retain the right of first pick in any litter.
We will likely contact you with further questions or to get to know you better before approving your application. If you receive approval, this means you will be placed on our official waitlist for the upcoming litter. At this point no deposit is required.
Once pregnancy has been confirmed, those who are on the waitlist will be contacted to confirm you are still in a position to accept a puppy from the upcoming litter. At that time a deposit of $500 will be collected. Please pay your deposit within 72 hours. This is to show that you are serious about purchasing a puppy/dog from us.
If the breeding does not take or there are fewer puppies than there are names on our waitlist, the deposit will be refundable or transferable to the following litter.
The $500 deposit shall be applied to the final Purchase Price of $2,500. The remaining balance of $2,000 CAD is due at 8 weeks of age or at time of pick-up.
Any shipping and handling expenses are the responsibility of and shall be paid by you. All payments due under the contractual agreement shall be paid to Amanda Gomes of Sereia Poodles. If the balance is not paid by time of pick-up, the contract is null and void, and placement will be refused. We reserve the right to refuse a sale or refund at any time.
We guarantee that both the Sire and the Dam of every litter have had the breed specific health clearances performed and certified. These include the required testing listed by the Poodle Club of America (PCA), and OFA recommendations. Health testing of the Sire and Dam will be available for you to verify on OFA.org, sereiapoodles.org or printed for your records.
We will raise litters in a safe, in-home environment, and use Puppy Culture and other puppy-rearing programs. Early Neurological Stimulation, Early Scent Introduction, and enrichment activities will be done with each puppy.
We may not always have your preferred colour or gender but we will do our best to match puppies to their new families by considering their temperaments and energy levels etc. If we end up not having a puppy that will be the right fit for you, we can discuss transferring your deposit to another litter or provide a refund.
We will temperament test the puppies via the Volhard Temperament Test or Avidog Puppy Evaluation Test (APET) or equivalent at or around 7 weeks old with an outside, unbiased, knowledgeable evaluator. This evaluation assesses the puppy’s various strengths and weaknesses at the optimal time for testing. This can provide some predictive clues to the puppy’s personality, sociability, and potential trainability. This testing helps to determine which puppy has the most suitable attributes for which future home. Like any test, a puppy’s temperament test can only assess qualities at that point in time. Environment, fear stages, and age all play a significant role in the puppy’s behaviour and development. Temperament can be affected by the environment the puppy goes into, especially before 16 weeks of age.
After structural evaluations are completed at 8 weeks of age, we will help you in choosing a puppy by sharing all testing results, personalities, and aptitudes. However, there is no guarantee of a dog’s size, final colour (colours can fade or change), temperament or performance ability. For puppys/dogs placed as performance-sport partners, therapy dogs or service dog candidates, we do NOT guarantee the ability of the puppy, they are only being placed with the potential to be successful.
All puppies will be microchipped, vetted, and have had at least 3 de-wormings by the time they go home. All puppies will have intact/natural tails and dewclaws. We DO allow families to choose their puppy’s registered name but we will also have a deadline so we can get them registered with CKC without delay.
We will have a contract that must be signed before puppies go to their new homes that includes a non-breeding clause, spay/neuter agreement for pet homes, and specific rules for show and co-own homes, and other reasonable care stipulations. Contracts can be altered and edited to fit specific needs at the discretion of Sereia Poodles.
We will never sell a puppy or dog to those who breed or plan to breed doodles or merle poodles, backyard breeders or puppy mills and legal action will be taken if there is a breach of contract. We will never sell a puppy or dog with breeding rights/full registration for simply an additional fee. To inquire about show and breeding privileges, please contact us directly and we can discuss our requirements for that arrangement.
Thank you for applying for one of our precious puppies. We strive to ensure a loving forever home for each and every puppy we produce, and we appreciate your honesty to help in providing just that. Sereia Poodles will always be available for advice and support for the life of our puppies. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions about our program, we are happy to answer them.
