The Shamrock Slam is a different type of tournament.
Each archer will shoot a 600 round on either a single spot or a triangle.
The top qualifiers in each division will go into single elimination rounds.
Qualification cuts are as follows:
- Top 32 Compound Adult
- Top 32 Compound Youth
- Top 16 Recurve Adult
- Top 16 Recurve Youth
- Top 8 Barebow Adult
- Top 8 Barebow Youth
There is no cash payout this year.
It is part of the DSA Tournament Series
All division winners will get a custom belt buckle
2nd and 3rd place will receive trophies.
Recurve and Barebow – 1 – 600 round from 18 meters; choice of 40cm single spot, or triangle. Outer 10 scoring.
Compound - 1 – 600 round from 18 meters; choice of 40cm single spot, or triangle. Inner 10 scoring.
Up to 4 Archers per bale. Archers will have their own target face
Shooting Rules-Qualifications
- 2 Minute Ends
- 3 Arrow Ends
- Recurve and Barebow Outer 10 Scoring
- Compound Inner 10 Scoring
Shooting Rules-Eliminations
- Ends are the same as qualifications
- Recurve Set Scoring used for all divisions
- 5-5 is a tie, World Archery tie breaker rules
- As archers roll into their qualification rounds they may not get their practice end on the same bale they start with.
- Archers may skip a round as others are doing their eliminations. They do NOT get another practice end.
- Practice ends are 3 arrows only and max of 3 ends

Arrow Requirements (World Archery, Book 3):
11.1.7. Arrows of any type may be used provided they comply with the common meaning
of the word "arrow" as used in target archery, and do not cause undue damage to
target faces or butts.
11.1.7.1. An arrow consists of a shaft with a tip (point), nocks, fletching and, if desired, cresting. The maximum diameter of arrow shafts shall not exceed 9.3mm (arrow wraps shall not be considered as part of this limitation as long they do not extend further than 22cm toward the point of the arrow when measured from the throat - nock hole where the string sits - of the nock to the end of the wrap); the tips (points) for these arrows may have a maximum diameter of 9.4mm. All arrows of every athlete shall be marked with the athlete's name or initials on the shaft. All arrows used in any end shall be identical and shall carry the same pattern and colour(s) of fletching, nocks and cresting, if any. Tracer nocks (electrically/electronically lighted arrow nocks) are not allowed.

Elimination Rounds for Barebow and Recurve start at 1:00PM

Elimination Rounds for Compound start at 8:00AM
Awards will be given after each division is decided on Saturday and Sunday. Awards can be mailed if winner pays postage.
