  • The Basics of the Guardian Home Program

On occasion we retain a puppy from a breeding to keep as a future breeder. Because we know that Goldendoodles and Poodles need to be in homes with a family we seek select families to come alongside us to provide a wonderful home for our breeding dogs. .  The guardian home program is an excellent situation for the dog, it's a great deal for guardian parents, and is ideal for producing an exceptional Goldendoodle breeding program. It is one of those "win - win" situations for everyone involved.  The family receives a quality, top pick dog for their forever pet, the dog lives in a forever home, receiving one-on-one of attention, training and appropriate care.
  • How Does the Guardian Home Program work?

    • Approved families or individuals receive our Pick of the Litter puppy for free.
    • Sometimes we place adult dogs as well.
    • Pikes Peak Doodles maintains breeding rights on the dog or puppy for up to 8 litters for females or for up to 7 years for males. These terms can vary depending on the age and circumstances of the dog.
    • Pikes Peak Doodles is responsible for any costs related to breeding. Guardian Families will pay for the normal costs of owning a dog.
    • Monetary compensation is given to our guardian families for each litter produced with their dog, this helps offset the day-to-day costs of caring for a dog.
    • Once the contract is fulfilled, dogs will be spayed or neutered and full ownership is signed over to the guardian family.
  • What are the requirements to be considered to be a guardian home?
