WIHI Application for the 23-24 School Year

Thank you for your interest in our High School Program!

Our application involves a three step process:

Step 1 - Complete WIHI application

WIHI Application's Must Have:
- Student's Birth Certificate
- Student's Complete Immunization Records
- Parent's Driver's License/State ID
- Proof of Residency
- Student's Current Grades
- Student's IEP/504 (if applicable)
- Divorce Decree/Separation Agreement/Custody Agreement (if Applicable)
- Adoption Paperwork (if applicable)
- Court Documents ex. Name Changes, PPO, etc. (if applicable)
Step 2 - Complete the additional required forms emailed to families after the application is submitted. Including the *NEW* Electronic Discipline Request Form.

For the 23-24 applications and moving forward, WIHI will only be accepting our electronic Affirmation of Prior Discipline form. We will no longer be able to accept paper forms.

Step 3 - Complete Placement Testing in March - families will receive a link to register after the application is submitted.

Documents Accepted are: If you own your home: Mortgage Statement or Property Tax Statement. If you lease: Current Lease Agreement. If you live with friends or family, you will be required to complete an Affidavit of Residency and have it notarized. Families that do not currently live in Washtenaw County or surrounding county currently, but are moving into the area, please attach signed Purchase Agreement, Lease Agreement or letter from friend/family member you will be living with in the area. Proof of Residency for families whose name is not listed on Lease Agreement or Mortgage Statement:

If the parent/guardian's name is not listed on the lease or mortgage statement, an Affidavit of Residency form is required.

This form needs to be signed and notarized by the owner of the property and the parent/guardian applying.

Families will want to click "save and continue later" once they have filled in all the information on the application.

From there the family will get this form signed and notarized, attach it to the application and then click "submit".

Applications submitted with blank forms will be deleted and families will need to reapply once they have all required documents available.

School of Choice Information:

Families who have SOC'd into a different district, live outside of Washtenaw County or in the Dexter School District.
Updated as of 2.6.23 - If your student is currently School of Choiced into the Ann Arbor Public School District, your School of Choice will carry over to WIHI per Ann Arbor new requirements.

Ann Arbor School of Choice students have the option of keeping their SOC with Ann Arbor when transferring to WIHI or going back under their resident assigned school district for the lottery.

Ann Arbor SOC families will get to choose their assigned High School through the IDT system. The window to do that is open now.

Families will want to complete that through Infosnap.

Ann Arbor SOC families will want to put a note on in infosnap that states: "Have applied to WIHI and if accepted, will be attending there but are SOC and need to choose a HS".

NEW TO DISTRICT ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS:

1. ) If a student is accepted through the lottery and they are currently attending a Washtenaw County local public district school, the only registration required is WIHI's registration, in order to attend WIHI.

2.) If a student is accepted through the lottery and they are currently attending a Private, Charter, Online (not through local public school) or Homeschooled, the family will be required to complete their local high school public registeration requirements and WIHI's registration for the following school districts:
- Chelsea
- Milan
- Saline
- Whitmore Lake
If the student does not register with their local high school between June 15th and August 18th, the student will be unable to attend WIHI and will be dropped.

For in District Students
Students who are not initially accepted into WIHI through their resident/SOC district have the option to participate in the WIHI School of Choice Pool.

Participation in the WIHI School of Choice Pool can potentially maximize the probability of acceptance.

Once you have SAVED your application, please click on the link in your email to log back into your application and then click the SUBMIT button to apply.

You will know your application went through by three ways:

1.) A "Thank You" will pop up as soon as you submit - make sure your popup blocker is off.

2.) You will get an immediate email response with a copy of the application.

3.) In your email confirmation - You will receive links to complete the following REQUIRED forms:
- Affirmation of Prior Discipline Form
- Records Request Form
- Diversity Pledge
- Placement Testing Registration
