༄༅།།གཞི་རིམ་མི་མང་གི་ས་ཡིག་བསྡུ་རུབ་ཀྱི་གསལ་བསྒྲགས།

Several MPs of 17th Assembly snubbed the direction of His Holiness by bringing the already scrapped Document No.39 in the assembly table again. Because of influential pressure from these MPs, Chief Justice to the Supreme Justice Commission was not able to appoint; could not even complete the appointment of Ministers to the administrative portfolios. Though the petition signed by general public, owing unable to process the necessary constitutional amendment, was submitted to the office of parliamentary secretariat in person, the honorable Speaker disowned the same, terming any such letter signed by hundred signatories a viral circulation – a reason that is in total contravention of logic which disregards the direction of the His Holiness like sword cut. When requested, at a time when we the public are in a very powerless-helpless state, to give the whatever decision of the Speaker in writing, there had no any response. We too as the citizens had to hung our head in shame to the fact of honorable Speaker’s failure to give the written statement of what he said verbally. Though we approached the parliamentary secretariat office at least six times in order to get the appeal call of public officially owned by parliament, all the efforts went vain. On 7th November 2022, though an opportunity to see the Speaker/Deputy Speaker was offered, the two were too busy. Since the honorable Speaker ignored and insulted the appeal of public, calling it “The Art of Crying” and didn’t response properly, we are left with no other choice other than initiating this Signature Campaign movement on the following listed points: The call of general public are: 1) The MPs who bring the Document 39 again in Assembly should resign on moral grounds. 2) Should call an extra (parliamentary) assembly session immediately, in which, primarily should amend provision that governs the eligibility criteria for the appointment of Chief Justice and other related important provisions. 3) All layman should have equal voting right to elect religions MPs according to registered sect 4) The appointment of the religious MPs in the Standing Committee should be in proportionate to the percentage count of religious MPs with relate to the total numbers of MPs.
