Comprehensive Pre-Operative Exam This needs to be scheduled at least 3 days in advance of your surgical appointment. Pet's get a pre-surgical exam (checking heart and lungs) before surgery but if you want a more complete exam, you can call for an appointment. The comprehensive exam will likely NOT be with the vet doing the surgery.

Vaccines/Heartworm Test/Microchips

Rabies VaccinePets must be 12 weeks or older for rabies. They will be given a 1 year certificate unless you bring written proof (not a rabies tag) of a prior rabies vaccine, even if expired. With this proof, we can issue a 3 year license.

Distemper VaccineThese are generally given at 8, 12 and 16 weeks of age for the puppy series. The next booster is generally at 1 to 1 1/2 years of age and then no more often then every three years thereafter. If you have not gotten a puppy vaccine yet and your dog is over 4 months of age, the first vaccine will be good for one year.
