Also called elizabethan collar. These are the cones that help prevent licking of the incision which can lead to infections. These are strongly recommended especially for male dogs.
Dogs with flat faces take special anesthetic considerations. This is why many spay neuter clinics refuse to see these dogs.

Dogs that scoot their bottoms on the floor often need their anal glands expressed.
Pets must be 12 weeks or older for rabies. They will be given a 1 year certificate unless you bring written proof (not a rabies tag) of a prior rabies vaccine, even if expired. With this proof, we can issue a 3 year license.
These are generally given at 8, 12 and 16 weeks of age for the puppy series. The next booster is generally at 1 to 1 1/2 years of age and then no more often then every three years thereafter. If you have not gotten a puppy vaccine yet and your dog is over 4 months of age, the first vaccine will be good for one year.
There is no reason to test dogs 6 months an younger because 6 months of exposure are needed before a test will turn positive.
Including a life-time registration
Pets get a pre-anesthetic exam on the day of surgery but this does not include examination of all systems. A complete exam can be done at your regular veterinary office (best) or can be done here but not on surgery days and not with the vet who will perform surgery. Call the office at 609-267-2111 to schedule this exam at least 3 days prior to surgery.
Though recommended for all pets, this is only required for pets over 7 yrs of age. This can be done at your primary care veterinary practice or it can be done here. We do not offer same day bloodwork. This bloodwork should be scheduled at least 3 days prior to the surgery appointment to allow results in time. To schedule here, call 609-267-2111
Price is per testicle. External, uncomplicated and at veterinarian's discretion. We do not do surgery for internally retained testicles.

We recommend waiting 9 weeks after the heat cycle ends but if she is in contact with any intact male dogs including littermates, spaying her in heat might be a good idea to prevent pregnancy.
This is in addition to the surgery fee. Determination of the stage of pregnancy is at doctor discretion. It depends how long the surgery takes as well as the extra care required for your pet.
For pregnancy, this is in addition to the surgery fee and is for dogs that are in mid to late pregnancy. Determination of the fee between early pregnancy and mid pregnancy is at doctor discretion. It depends how long the surgery takes. For pyometra (uterine infection), this fee is in addition to the fee for spay/neuter surgery and in addition to the cost of antibiotics that may be needed when you go home. For pyometra, we MUST have records before scheduling. We only do pyometra surgery if the dog is stable at the time of her appointment and even then, it is at doctor discretion.
Payment wil be collected at the time of pick up. We prefer debit cards but also accept all major credit cards. We do not like to collect cash but if you have no other option, we will take cash with the understanding that we do not provide any change in bills nor coins.
