Internship Scholarship Application 2025

Get an internship scholarship for Spring or Summer 2025 to "Earn as you Learn"! Funding can be used for an unpaid or underpaid (below Florida minimum wage of $13 per hour) internship, and internship related expenses (i.e. travel, housing, background check)! This Internship Scholarship is NOT a need-based Financial Aid scholarship, but preference is given to students who have not received any funding to support an internship experience at New College.
This internship scholarship program is made possible by the Mellon Foundation.

Submit this application by:
- Friday, January 31, 2025 for a Spring 2025 Full-term or Mod I internship (MUST add an internship tutorial to contract by Friday, February 7 for Spring 2025 Course Registration Deadline),
- Friday, March 28, 2025 for a Spring 2025 Mod II internship (MUST add an internship tutorial to contract by Friday, April 4 for Module II Registration deadline)
- Monday, April 21, 2025 for a Summer 2025 internship (MUST register for the CEO sponsored for-credit Summer ISP course).

You must complete separate applications for each internship or for internships occuring in different semesters.

This Internship Scholarship is NOT a need-based Financial Aid scholarship.

Priority will be given to students who have never received an internship scholarship or CEO funding in order to provide every New College student the opportunity to pursue an academic internship. Selection is made on a rolling basis.

Any student selected for an Internship Scholarship will be required to complete an Internship Scholarship Acceptance & Agreement form within 2 weeks of notification. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of scholarship.

Please Note: For summer internships, students must enroll in the CEO-sponsored Summer Internship course if they are using the scholarship towards a summer internship. The course must be taken for academic credit and has the following registration options:
- 2 Credits (Mod) Summer Internship/Research Experience = 60 hours
- 4 Credits (1 Unit) Summer Internship/Research Experience = 120 hours
- 4 Credits (ISP) Summer Internship/Research Experience = 120 hours
- 2 Credits (Mod) Summer Internship/Research Experience (60 hours) and 4 Credits (1 Unit) Summer Internship/Research Experience (120 hours) = 180 hours
- 2 Credits (Mod) Summer Internship/Research Experience (60 hours) and 4 Credits (ISP) Summer Internship/Research Experience (120 hours) = 180 hours
- 6 Credits Summer Internship/Research Experience = 180 hours
