Bunnies On the Bayou 44 Beneficiary Application

BASE APPLICATION SCOPE REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must be an LGBTQ-related or LGBTQ-serving organization.
- The funds requested will be spent to target the Houston-area LGBTQ community. Organizations must be federally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit, and provide an IRS determination letter as proof of status. (Status may not be pending nor a third party.
- Attach the most recent 990 Tax Document & provide the most current financial statement.
- Completed application (attached "*returning beneficiaries must submit the 2022 Beneficiaries Follow-up report.
- Send a representative to the check presentation event (date TBA in late spring.)
Applicant organizations must agree to advertise all BOTB events on social media.
- Invite members of their organizations to attend all events
- Make the events known to media followers
Applicant organizations agree to provide volunteers for the BOTB main event weekend.
A minimum of 15 volunteer shifts Must be covered by each selected project. (The same person can fill multiple shifts consecutively but not concurrently. One person can volunteer in the name of only one beneficiary project.)
The minimum 15 shifts should include, as follows:
- 8 volunteer shifts during the Sunday main event (8 of which are for the second shift and TABC certified);
- 3 volunteer shifts for tear down Sunday evening:
- 4 volunteer shifts for any set up on Saturday or Sunday morning, or unpacking Monday morning.
Volunteers for the main event Sunday must be 21 and over and must be TABC certified. Any exemptions for TABC certification will be granted by Bunnies On the Bayou on a case-by-case basis.
*Failure to provide volunteers will impact grant eligibility*
To assist beneficiaries in meeting required shifts, Bunnies will provide an advanced opportunity for beneficiary volunteers to sign up, prior to the general public.

- Applicants will be notified if there are further questions by the committee.
- Bunnies On the Bayou will contact applicants to notify them of their status by Early 2023.
- Selected beneficiaries will be unveiled no later than February 2023.

- Bunnies On The Bayou has 3 priorities:
- Education,
- Health & Wellness, and
- Community Development.
- Proposals should target one of these priorities.
- Please provide a DETAILED and compelling narrative that explains why your program should be selected. Include the names, titles, and best phone numbers/email addresses for project/organization contact. We will use this information to notify organizations of their selection, as well as a contact regarding volunteer updates, etc.
