Net proceeds are deposited into Roy’s endowment fund at the Winnipeg Foundation. Grants are given to community perinatal bereavement support and NICU family comfort programs. For every kit purchased, a $12.00 CAD charitable tax receipt will be issued by the Winnipeg Foundation.
In 2022, the inaugural grant from the Roy Robert Lee Senkiw Fund was awarded to the St. Boniface General Hospital Foundation's Perinatal Bereavement Program and NICU family keepsake fund. The grant was used to create a portable take and keep library for bereaved parents and NICU families. Families are gifted with a book of their choice from the multicultural, multilingual and multi-themed collection to read to their babies and to take home. In 2023, Roy's Fund was able to give a grant to St. John Ambulance for their volunteer first aid response team. 2024 grant recipients included Folklorama's Chinese Pavilion to provide local NICU families VIP tickets and to St. Boniface Hospital Foundation for the Manitoba Pregnancy and Infant Loss Conference for healthcare providers.
