  • Rescued Golden Retrievers have sometimes been in neglectful and/or abusive situations. They may experience difficulty making the transition to a new home. Are you willing to be patient helping your Golden feel safe and secure, while it adjusts to its new home?*

Adopt a Golden Nashville reserves the right to refuse any adoption.

I/we authorize Adopt A Golden Nashville (AGN) to verify identity and run a limited background check (criminal, sex-offender, and animal-control records; landlord/vet verification). No credit check. Information is used only to evaluate this application. I/we release AGN and information providers from liability for good-faith use.

  • Next steps AFTER submitting your application:

    • An Adoption Coordinator will review your application and contact you
    • A vet check will be done if applicable
    • A phone interview will be scheduled and conducted
    • You will be notified by your Adoption Coordinator if you are/are not approved to adopt

    Please remember that our rescue is completely volunteer run and it may take a few days to hear from your Adoption Coordinator. If you have not heard from us in 3-5 days after submitting your application, please contact us.
