Sunday 18th December, Tauranga Waterfront, The Strand.

Competitor Check in opens at 11.30am by the jetty.

This is a Tauranga City Council free event to celebrate the start of the school holidays and the beautiful Tauranga Waterfront.

Hads Te Huia from Bomblife New Zealand will host and judge this event along with some of his respected peers. All judges decisions are final.

12.00pm Competitor Welcome and Rules

Age categories are:

12.15pm 10-12yrs (not judged, spot prizes awarded)

1.00pm 13-15 yrs (prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and spot prizes)

2.00pm 16 yrs and over (prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and spot prizes)

2.45pm Prizegiving for 13-15 yrs and 16 yrs and over

3.00pm John Michealz and the Black Brothers Band

Ages must be correct on the day of the event.

Parent or Guardian must register and agree to waiver for any participant under 16 yrs.

Please ensure all terms and conditions are read carefully.

This is a family friendly free event so please ensure you act respectfully to the other competitors and judges.

Tauranga Moana Bomb Comp 2022

WAIVER & RELEASE FROM LIABILITY

If the participant is under the age of 18 this waiver must be read, understood and agreed by their parent or guardian

I am in appropriate physical condition and am fit and able to participate in the Bomb Comp and I have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person. I have a competent level of swimming when taking into account tidal flow at the location, wind chop and deep water.

I know of no medical or physical reason why I should not participate in the Bomb Comp, but in the event of injury, accident or illness while participating I hereby give my consent to receiving medical treatment that may be deed necessary.

I acknowledge that I will not be able to participate in the Bomb Comp if I am under the influence and/or affected by medication (prescription or otherwise), drugs or alcohol.

I acknowledge that there are risks inherently involved in participating in the Bomb Comp and agree that by participating I accept such risks. I understand and acknowledge that the Tauranga City Counci and its employees, contractors, agents and volunteers including all Bomb Comp officials, sponsors and volunteers) provide no warranties or assurances regarding my wellbeing and safety.

As a condition of my entry and participation in the Bomb Comp, I hereby waive, release and discharge and hold blameless Tauranga City Council and any of its employees, contractors, agents, volunteers, entities and sponsors or officials of the event from any and all liability for death, disability, personal injury whether physical or mental, property damage, property theft and all other foreseeable risks, claims or actions of any kind (including negligence and breach of contract) whatever and however occurring (and including legal fees incurred as a result of any claim, whether it is valid or not) which may arise, at any time, from or in connection with, directly or indirectly, my participation in the Bomb Comp.

I hereby consent to Tauranga City Council and its employees, contractors, agents or volunteers making, taking, collecting, and retaining photographic images, audio or video recordings of me (or my minor children as the case may be) participating in the Bomb Comp and to use, edit, publish and/or copyright such photographic images, audio or video recordings taken of me during, before and after the Bomb Comp in and current or future media including, but not limited to, publications, brochures, advertising and proposals in perpetuity without any right to or expectation of payment or any other form of compensation.

I agree that the terms contained herein are binding on myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of in and assigns.

I acknowledge that I have read and understood the terms above including the intent and effect of the waiver of By participating in the Bomb Comp I explicitly for myself or for a minor under the age of 18, I fully understand and agree to the terms contained herein.

If I am signing for a minor under the age of 18 I declare that I have full power as a parent or guardian to sign this waiver on their behalf.
