  • The Law and Society minor utilizes undergraduate teaching assistants each semester to assist faculty members with course administration. Students are eligible for academic credit for their work with faculty members over the course of the semester. Please note that all applicants are not guaranteed placement. Please carefully consider your availability and ability to work with various personalities before submitting your application.

  • You will receive 3 credits for this position. If you are interested in being a TA next semester, please complete the application no later than April 9, 2025. Please keep in mind that the following are expected of Undergraduate Teaching Assistants: 1. Register for the Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Course. More information on this process will be sent over the winter break. 2. Be in attendance for all classes. (excused absences will be approved by assigned faculty) 3. Attend any and all meetings with the undergraduate teaching assistant course instructor (time/day TBD) 4. Volunteer for at least 1 hour at the First Look Fair 5. Hold office hours weekly. 6. Complete other MLAW projects and tasks as assigned. You will be expected to commit an average of 7-10 hours to this position to earn your credits. There will be weeks when very little will be expected of you. However, there will also be a few weeks during the semester that you will be working close to the full 10 hours, including class, meetings, tasks, etc.
