  • The average cost of a spay/neuter surgery in NYC is $850. Please consider this cost when making your donation.

Positive Tails is 100% donor funded. Your donation will go towards the shared mission of providing veterinary care for all. Visit positivetails.org/donate to complete your contribution.

  • Please note that when/if you are given an appointment, a last minute cancelation (less than 48 hours) or failing to show up to that appointment disqualifies you and all companion animals under your care from future services including our public clinic, spay and neuter services, and emergency care.

It can take between 1 and 5 months for us to secure an appointment. You will not hear from us until an appointment becomes available at which time we will call you. We also suggest reaching out to other NYC resources, listed on our website positivetails.org The more places that you apply with the better chance you will have at getting a timely appointment.

Thank you for spaying and neutering for the sake of your animal’s health and to curb overpopulation!
