Synagogue Health, Safety and Visitor Guidelines

To ensure a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all, visitors are asked to review and follow the guidelines below when requesting or attending a visit or tour of the synagogue. Guidelines are subject to change prior to your visit.
- Health Considerations: Our shul is mask-friendly for those who choose to wear one. Please do not visit if you feel unwell, have a fever, are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or have tested positive for COVID-19, or if you have a cold, flu, or any other communicable illness.
- Accessibility: Please note that our building is not fully accessible to individuals with physical disabilities. Entry into the building and access to the sanctuary, upper floors, and basement require the use of stairs. We do not have an elevator.
- Building Conditions: The sanctuary, located on the second and third floors, does not have central heating. Visitors are encouraged to dress accordingly during colder months.
- Security Procedures: Government-issued photo identification may be requested upon entry. Large bags and parcels are not permitted in the synagogue. All items brought into the building are subject to search.
- Minors: All visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult.
- Food and Beverages: Outside food and beverages are not permitted, with the exception of water.
- Photography and Recording: Visitors may take photos, and not videos, for personal, internal use only by the photographer and not for any commercial purpose or for the benefit of any third party. Congregation Agudas Shalom of Chelsea Walnut Street Synagogue asks you to respect the sanctity,privacy, and security needs of our community.
  COPYING OR REDISTRIBUTION IN ANY MANNER FOR COMMERCIAL USE, INCLUDING COMMERCIAL PUBLICATION, OR FOR PERSONAL GAIN IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. To use images in any means other than for personal, internal use, or to take videos, please reach out for licensing and express written permission to us at info@walnutstreetsynagogue.org.

- Animals: Pets are not permitted. Registered service animals are welcome.
