  • The FAPAC Distinguished Public Service Scholarship Endowment Fund, Inc. is a non-profit organization that promotes the recognition of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs). Since 2013, FAPAC has awarded this scholarship to students who exhibit academic excellence, have an interest in public service to become a future federal employee, and have made contributions to foster diversity and inclusion in the AANHPI community.

  • Your essay should be no more than two pages, double spaced, 12pt font. Your essay should include your contributions in promoting diversity in the AANHPI communities and how leaders like the Honorable Norman Y. Mineta, who held two Cabinet positions (fomer Secretary of Commerce and former Secretary of Transportation) are role models for public servants. You should discuss how the scholarship can assist you with achieving your goals in public service.

    Your essay can include your college goals and choice of major, what you intend to do with your education, and why a scholarship is important to you. Feel free to include any academic and non-academic accomplishments, personal characteristics, or experiences that make you uniquely worthy of scholarship consideration.

  • Please include a letter of recommendation from a trusted adviser, supervisor, peer who can speak to your contributions to foster diversity and inclusion in the AAPI community.
