*A Code Council Chapter “in good standing” complies with all provisions of Council Policy CP#10-04 (Chapters), including submission of an Annual Report per Section 7.2.

Provide a brief biography, previous awards, recognitions, etc., again emphasizing as much as possible recognitions which show outstanding service to the Code Council:

The nominee shall have rendered outstanding service to ICC throughout their career. The following criteria shall be considered:

1. Exhibited distinction in both reputation and career achievements that have positively impacted the furtherance of the organization

2. Active participation in the organization

3. Board of Directors service

4. Committee service

5. Code development

6. Other not specifically listed service recognized and supported by the organization

7. Contributed to the organization in a significant manner through volunteer efforts throughout their career

8. Demonstrated a commitment to the mission, goals, and vision of the organization

9. Applicability of the nominee’s contributions must be evident within the submission materials

Please explain why this person or organization should be considered for the chosen award. Suggested topics to address include:

Innovation: Use of new, creative or inventive teaching methods

Dedication: Passion in the pursuit of educational excellence

Talent/Impact: Effectiveness of instructional practices or education contributions with an engaging and inspiring presence that motivates students and colleagues

Contribution: Promotion and support of the Code Council and its members through various means

Expertise: Knowledge, understanding and experience with subject matter

Other: Anything else you feel should be noted that would help the Education Committee in evaluating the application

The National Leadership in Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the growth and enhancement of codes or public policy espousing the principles of the Code Council Sustainability Membership Council. The awards honor states, cities, towns and individuals who go above and beyond to raise compliance with building energy codes – and by doing so, help unlock billions in savings and improve the efficiency of America’s new and existing buildings and homes using cost-effective, practical, and innovative strategies.
