  • North Las Vegas Municipal Court Traffic Citation Adjudication Request

    The Court has been authorized by the City Prosecutor reduce the fines on most traffic violations without the need for you to appear in court. These reduced fine amounts mirror what would be offered by the City Attorney's Office in court. To get information on the fine amounts and potential reductions on your case please call the court at 702-633-1130, or send an email to municourt@cityofnorthlasvegas.com . Charges of Driving on a Suspended License, Animal Cruelty, Excessive Animals, Unlawful Teathering of an Animal, Drag Racing, and Hit and Run violations will require a traffic pretrial. A plea of no-contest or guilty for any of these charges cannot be accepted and a pretrial will be scheduled regardless of the plea entered. You may use the form on this page to enter one of the following pleas:

  • No Contest

    By selecting a plea of no contest you are accepting responsibility for the violation, as if a guilty plea had been entered, but you are not admitting guilt or fault. It has the same legal effect as a guilty plea.

  • Guilty

    By selecting a plea of guilty you are admitting fault and accepting responsibility for the violation.

  • Proof Submitted for Dismissal

    If you received a citation for a violation such as: No Driver's License, No Insurance, No Registration, or an equipment violation that has been signed off by a law enforcement officer, you may select Proof Submitted for Dismissal and upload the appropriate proof. If the proof is sufficient the violation will be dismissed. If the proof is not sufficient you will be informed by email to resubmit your request with the appropriate plea entered.

  • Not Guilty

    By selecting a plea of not guilty you will be scheduled for a traffic pretrial session. You will be scheduled for the first available court date, a minimum of seven days in the future. A plea of not guilty on any one violation will result in a court date being scheduled for every violation on the case. Please note, if your case is a Civil Infraction, you will be required to post bond or bail in the full amount of the citation. You will not receive a court hearing until the bond or bail has been posted. If you have questions as to whether or not you are required to make a bail payment before receiving a court date or as to the amount of the bail payment please contact the Court at 702-633-1130. Failure to post the bond or bail and/or submit a plea of guilty or no contest on or before the response date may result in a Default Judgment being filed and your case being sent to a third party collection agency.

    I, *   *   , do hereby stipulate to and authorize the entry of judgment against me in the amount of the total fines (TBD), plus any other reasonable costs to collect the unpaid judgment (NRS 18.160).

    I understand that by signing this document I will have signed a stipulation of judgment. Furthermore, I understand that if I fail to make all installment payments as agreed I may be subject to a late fee of $25 per case; and that this stipulated judgment will be enforceable with the North Las Vegas Municipal Court. I will also be subject to all civil remedies to satisfy this judgment (NRS 484A.7047).

    Finally, I understand that if I successfully pay the installment agreement this judgment will be satisfied.
