    This is a wonderful process used way back in Tudor times to decorate plates. It is an opportunity to create a personalised piece which can include words and pictures. Over this weekend we will design a decorated plate, and I will teach you how to use coloured slips to paint it. I will teach you how to use sgraffito and clay tools to carve images into your plate. This can be  intricate or playful and free. We will do some work on tiles to practice the skills.
