    For therapeutic riding and riding school
  • Please Note: All riders must 1)complete the participant general information form 2)complete the medical form if registering for therapeutic riding 3)have an assessment completed with the head instructor before registering for a riding/ driving session

     

  • Available ride times will be given on a first-come first-serve bases. Preference given to riders from the previous session. You will be contacted by email if we are unable to accommodate your selected ride time. ONE WEEK prior to session start you will be contacted by email with specific ride time and invoicing.  Invoice must be paid prior to first lesson (unless other arrangements are made)

     

  • Participant safety

  • All riders must wear an approved riding helmet during all equine-related activities. Helmets are provided and disinfected after use however it is recommended that you purchase your own helmet. Speak with Angie for details.
    Boots or shoes with at least a 1/2-inch heel are recommended, however, all saddles at Windy Acres Stable are fitted with toe stops to prevent the foot from becoming caught in the stirrup. No open-toe or heel shoes are permitted for riding or in the barn, this includes sandals and crocs.
    All riders must wear full pants. Excessively loose-fitting clothing and dangling straps are prohibited for the safety of the rider.

  • In order to protect the herd at Windy Acres Stable no person should bring equipment (i.e. brushes, riding equipment) or wear clothing (including footwear) that has had contact with any other horses. Footwear and helmets must be disinfected if in contact with other horses.
