Reciprocal library membership request form for HDR students

To foster robust research and expand the number of resources available to HDR students, currently enrolled HDR students may apply for reciprocal borrowing membership at other AUT College Libraries. Membership conditions, e.g., number of items lent and loan duration, may vary between Libraries. You will be advised of the applicable membership conditions when you meet with the Institution’s Librarian. If you wish to apply for membership at more than one College Library, please complete a separate form for each.

Upon completion of this form, a letter of introduction and request will be generated and sent to the Librarian of the Library to which you are requesting membership. Please contact that Librarian to arrange a time to setup and begin your membership.

Agreement

I agree to abide by all library rules in relation to conduct, return any borrowed books on time, accept any late fees of the library, and in the event of loss or damage to books, property or library card, will be liable for the replacement cost.  I accept that a College Library may not be able to lend some items to me if those items are deemed high-use by that College Library, that high-use items may not be able to be renewed further after the initial borrowing period or may be recalled.  When unable to return books in person, I agree to pay any postage costs associated with returning books to the library from which they were borrowed.  I acknowledge that library membership conditions may vary between College Libraries and that my membership may be withdrawn if I do not abide by the stated membership conditions of each College Library.  I verify that I am a currently enrolled Higher Degree by Research student of the Australian University of Theology and that if I withdraw from enrolment or graduate, I will no longer be eligible for reciprocal borrowing membership.
