• Write Down the Street Class: Writing and Activism: 1-hour Story or Poem

You might have noticed that all of our offerings—drop-ins, events, and multi-week classes—now have one added step when registering: an application form. We used to reserve this process solely for our very popular multi-week classes, but due to high demand for all of our classes, especially in the remote environment, we realized the need to implement this for the rest of our offerings. This allows us to keep class sizes manageable while maintaining a high quality experience for class participants. It also helps us prioritize those who live in the communities where WDTS programs are based while also making sure new WDTS participants have a chance to engage with the program as equitably as possible.  We’ll continue to refine our processes to balance the needs of our community. Thanks for taking this journey with us.To eliminate cost, childcare needs, and other barriers, and to build communities of writers, GrubStreet partners with the Boston Public Library to provide free and excellent creative writing classes in Boston neighborhoods. If this interests you, please fill out this form, and we’ll confirm if there’s a spot for you by Friday, February 10th.
