To be considered for an award, nominees must be in good standing with council, a currently registered Girl Scout member, no known conflict resolution issues either verbally or in writing on file at the council or within your Service Unit or Troop, and no debt issue with product program or troop audit issues. No nominations of council staff will be accepted; the nomination process is for volunteers only.
All nominations will be approved by the the Volunteer Recognition's Committee which is made up of operational volunteers and governance volunteers from the Board of Directors. The committee will make final determination of recognitions.
When specifying endorsers, no family member may endorse a nominee. A volunteer's troop may also be considered as an endorser to a nomination.
What if the person you are nominating has already received that particular award? If the volunteer you are nominating has already received that award, the volunteer will receive a rocker that they can then include with their previously earned award.
Nominations must be submitted through this online form by January 31 annually.
