    1. Original (or certified true copies of) transcripts or school records (in English) of your classes for the current year as well as he past 2 years.
    2. A complete Letter of Recommendation from your school's Englsh teacher or principal.
    3. A current photograph.
    4. Non-refundable application fee of $250.00 CDN. (See payment options in Tuition & Fees section.)
    5. Notarized copy of Custodian Declaration IMM5646E - (complete both pages)
    6. If only one parent will be living with the child in Regina, the Declaration from Non-Accompanying Parent/Guardian for Minors IMM5604E must be signed and notarized by the non-accompanying parent.
    7. Copy of student and parent passports.
    8. If you are already attending another Canadian school, a copy of your Study Permit.

  • INFORMATION FOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS

    Prior to school registration, students will be assessed in English at Multilingual & Multicultural Services.
    Regina Catholic School Division will place the student into the final appropriate grade based on the student’s age. 

     

  • INFORMATION FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

    At the time of registration, students must be 17 years of age or younger. 
    All high school students must take five classes per semester. They have the option of taking additional band and/or choir classes High school students may be charged additional fees to cover the cost of expenses related to a particular class or for participation in school activities. These fees will be collected by the school.  Prior to school registration, students will be assessed in English at Multilingual & Multicultural Services. Based on this assessment, students will be registered in appropriate English as an Additional Language (EAL) support classes if necessary.
    All high school students who have completed Grade 10, 11, and/or 12 classes in another country must have an original transcript (not a copy) from their school along with an official version of the transcript translated into English and stamped by an authorized translator.  These documents will be required at the time of Assessment. 

    To meet the requirements for Grade 12 graduation from the regular program as recognized by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education, students are required to complete 24 credits. These are a combination of compulsory and elective credits. Please refer to the RCSD High School EAL Considerations for further details.

    Original official transcripts and English translations will be needed upon arrival in Canada and will be returned to the student once the credit transfer is complete.

  • It is the responsibility of the family to arrange for health care and accident insurance coverage for international students while the student is in Canada.  Students can apply for a Saskatchewan Health Card from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health.

  • Living Arrangements in Regina, Canada

  • Regardless of age, all students enrolled in the Regina Catholic School Division International Student Program must have a legal custodian over the age of 25 or be living with their parent.

    A notarized Custodian Declaration IMM5646E (complete both pages) must be provided. If only one parent will be living with the child in Regina, the Declaration from Non-Accompanying Parent/Guardian for Minors (IMM5604E) must be signed and notarized by the non-accompanying parent.

    High School Students - If not accompanying the student, parents of all high school aged (Grade 9-12) international students are required to appoint a custodian 25 years of age or older in Regina, who will take responsibility for their child and will ensure that accommodation and other necessities such as food, clothing, and transportation are provided.

    Elementary School Students - All elementary students must live with a parent or immediate adult family member such as a grandparent, aunt, or uncle over the age of 25.

  • Tuition and Fees

  • Application Fee (non-refundable): $250.00 CDN Due at time of Application Submission

    Tuition (Grade 1-12): $14,600.00 CDN per year

    Kindergarten Tuition: $7,300.00 CDN per year


    All fees must be paid in full prior to the student being registered in classes. *If a student is deemed to require intensive supports, additional fees will be charged to the family. These fees must be paid in advance of the child attending school.

    Payment Options

      2. E-transfer - accountsreceivable@rcsd.ca - use password tuition - include student's name in the Message.  After sending the fees please e-mail mlmc.services@rcsd.ca to confirm receipt.

     

    Refund Policy

    PLEASE NOTE THE $250.00 APPLICATION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE

    Full Refund
    If the student is denied the initial Study Permit by Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada. Proof of refusal from IRCC must be provided. 

    Partial Refund 
    A 50% refund will be given if a student withdraws within 15 calendar days of the start of the program.  After 15 days, no refund will be issued.

    If a student becomes a landed immigrant during their school year, a partial refund may be granted dependent on circumstances.  The student will not be eligible to remain in the International Student Program after their immigration status changes.  

    No Refund
    No refund of the tuition fee will be given if the student fails to follow any regulations of the program or school attending.   Immigration Canada will be involved and the student will be required to return home at their own expense. 

     

     

  • Participation Consents, Agreements & Regulations

    The Regina Catholic School Division and its host schools, accept young people into the International Students Program and support the principle that Canadian and International students will benefit in many ways from sharing experiences inside and outside of the classroom. The program assumes that international students enroll with the serious intention of working to achieve a high-quality academic education, improving their English language skills, and learning to function successfully in an environment that is culturally different from their own. To help students to meet these objectives, we ask parents and students to read the following regulations and expectations and to show their acceptance of them by agreeing where indicated.
    1. I/we confirm that all information provided in this application is accurate and complete and that inaccuracies in this application may result in a rejection of the application and/or immediate dismissal from the International Student Program with the Regina Catholic School Division.
    2. I/we understand that the application fee is non-refundable.
    3. I/we acknowledge and agree that if my/our child is offered a placement in the International Student Program with Regina Catholic School Division, I/we will be required to complete and provide all the further information, documentation, and tuition fees requested by the Regina Catholic school Division before the placement will be finalized and my/our child will be registered in the International Student Program. If intensive supports are deemed to be required, the additional fees must be paid in advance of the child registering in school.
    4. The student and parent warrant that the student has no history of criminal behaviour.  Any disputes of a legal nature must be resolved through the courts of Saskatchewan.
    5. I/we acknowledge that my/our child is in good health and is able to participate in all classes without any additional support (other than English as an Additional Language support).
    6. I/we agree that the student will live in according to Saskatchewan & Canadian laws.
    7. I/we warrant that my/our child has no special health or learning needs which require intensive supports. 
    8. I/we acknowledge and agree that the placement in the International Student Program with the Regina Catholic School Division, including the location and grade placement, is completely at the discretion of the Regina Catholic school Division and will be subject to availability of space and resources necessary for the International Student Program.
    9. I/we waive and release all claims against the Regina Catholic school Division, and its employees, for any and all injury, loss, damage, accident, delay or expense resulting from the applicant’s application to, rejection from, participation in, and/or dismissal from the International Student Program.  I/we also release the Regina Catholic School Division and agree to indemnify it, with regard to any financial obligations or liabilities that the applicant or I/we may personally incur as a result of this application.
    10. I/we understand that the student and parent are responsible for ensuring that the student’s study permit is valid and current.  The parent and student must apply for the student’s study permit extension before it expires and provide documentation to Regina Catholic School Divsion Multilingual & Multicultural Services. If a student has not reapplied for the renewal of the study permit prior to the study permit expiring, the student will be temporarily removed from the Regina Catholic School Division International students Program until a valid study permit is issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. 
    11. I/we understand that if a student is removed from the International Student Program, withdraws from the International Student Program, or is unable to pay their tuition fees, the Regina Catholic School Divsion may inform Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada or Canada Border Services Agency. 
    12. I/we are responsible for arranging appropriate medical and health care insurance for my/our child.
    13. I/we are responsible to find and monitor my/our child’s homestay situation.
    14. We understand my/our child, if in elementary school, must live with an immediate family member who is 25 years of age or older.
    15. I/we are responsible to ensure that the student or custodian contact Regina Catholic School Division Multilingual & Multicultural Services if the student moves and/or changes custodian.
    16. I/we agree that the student will respect the policies of the Regina Catholic School Division and the regulations of it's staff.
    17. I/we understand that it is the students responsibility to themselves, their families, and the program to make every effort to succeed in their studies which includes attending classes regularly and on time,completing all assignments and homework, and participating fully in all school or program activities.
