Black on the Block Vendor Application

Event Timing: December 18th, 2022, 1pm - 6pm PST

Thank you for applying to be a vendor for our Black on the Block Winter Festival featuring 100+ Black-owned businesses, holiday activations, food court, activations, music, drinks, and more! This event encourages people to shop Black for the holidays.

VENUE:

Please note this is an ALL OUTDOOR VENUE, so all vendors must bring their own tent and lighting for their setup. A tent is not mandatory, but highly recommended.

HOURS:

Please note our Winter market hours have changed to 1-6pm. Extended hours will resume in March.

ACCEPTANCE PROCESS:

This is a curated market, so all vendors must be accepted by Black on the Block. You will receive an email within 2 weeks if you have been accepted with further instructions. You will only be contacted by us if you have been accepted. Acceptance is not guaranteed, even if you are a returning vendor.

Black on the Block does not send decline emails or application status updates to applicants. Requests from applicants regarding the status of their application may not be answered.

VENDOR AGREEMENT AND FEE:

Please note you must sign our vendor agreement and pay your non-refundable vendor fee within 72 hours of receiving an acceptance email and invoice through Quickbooks. You will receive your acceptance email from quickbooks@notification.intuit.com. Failure to make payment by the date given in that email will lead to your spot being given to another vendor on the waitlist, so please be responsive.

VENDOR SET UP:

All vendors get a 10x10 space and are responsible for their entire setup; including tents, tables, chairs, generators, and lighting. Free on-site parking is available for vendors. More details about this will be sent upon acceptance.

VENDOR INSURANCE:

All accepted vendors will be required to obtain General Liability insurance for the date of the event and submit it to Black on the Block. More information will be sent upon acceptance.

Attendees will be charged an entry fee of $12.

Mandatory Setup Responsibility*

I understand that I am responsible for my entire setup (including tents, tables, chairs, generators, lighting, and extension cords). Please be sure to bring battery operated lighting for your tents, as it will get dark around 5pm.

Application Status*

I understand that I will only be contacted IF I have been accepted. Acceptance is not guaranteed. Black on the Block does not send decline emails or application status updates to applicants. Requests from applicants regarding the status of their application may not be answered.

Mandatory Vendor Agreement and Payment*

If accepted, I understand that I will have to sign a vendor agreement and pay my vendor fee within 72 hours of receiving an acceptance email. This fee is nonrefundable and nontransferable for any reason. Payment instructions will be sent with acceptance email.

Mandatory General Liability Insurance*

If accepted, I understand that I will be required to obtain General Liability insurance for the date of the event and to add Black On The Block, LLC to vendor’s insurance policy as an additional insured. Proof of this insurance in the form of a Certificate of Liability (COI) will need to be submitted to Black on the Block. Submission instructions will be sent with acceptance email.

Electronic Signature*

I agree that this Application and any other documents to be delivered in connection herewith may be electronically signed, and that any electronic signatures appearing on this Application or such other documents are the same as handwritten signatures for the purposes of validity, enforceability, and admissibility.
