• Committee Director Application

The 2023 NMUN•Germany leadership team is currently accepting applications to fill four committee Director positions. Please read below for detailed instructions and guidelines, and do not hesitate to contact dsg.germany@nmun.org with any questions you may have about the application, the conference, or the responsibilities of the committee Director positions.

Applications are due on Saturday 22 April 2023, 11:59 PM (EASTERN)

  • RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Committee Directors are the primary officials in their respective committees and are therefore responsible, with input from the Assistant Director (AD), for the substantive and logistical affairs of the committee. They are expected to remain current on all of their committee's topic areas and be well-versed in NMUN Rules of Procedure.

Directors are responsible for researching and writing one of the topics for committee Background Guides within the deadlines set by the Secretary-General and Deputy Secretary-General. They will also edit the work of their AD and should maintain a strong mentoring relationship with their AD.

    FINANCIAL & TIME CONSIDERATIONS

Volunteers must be available to attend NMUN•Germany from 18-25 November 2023. This period is inclusive of Conference training.

Shared lodging and air transportation are paid for by National Model United Nations (up to certain maximums).

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS

NMUN•Germany requires applicants to have a minimum of three full years of staff experience at NMUN•NY to ensure the highest quality in writing, directing, and mentoring of ADs.
