Lehigh Valley Humane Society Release of Liability

I understand that the behavior and temperament of animals can be unpredictable and that touching, handling or other contact with an animal at the shelter may involve a risk of property damage, illness, personal injury or even death. I also understand that if I bring a pet of mine to the shelter, it may sustain injury or illness as a result of contact with the animals at the shelter. Therefore, as a condition of entering the shelter, I assume for myself and any children under 18 years of age (‘minor’) who accompany me, all risks of property damage, illness, personal injury and death incident to my/our exposure to, contact with and/or handling of any animal while visiting the shelter. On behalf of myself and all minors who accompany me, I hereby release the Lehigh Valley Humane Society (`Society’) from any and all responsibility and liability for property damage, illness, personal injury and death arising out of my/our presence in the shelter and exposure to, contact with and/ or handling of any animal while visiting the shelter. I further agree to indemnify and hold the Society harmless from any and all claims, damages, actions, causes or actions and judgments which may in any way result from my/ our presence in the shelter and exposure to, contact with and/or handling of any animal while visiting the shelter. The term `Society’ includes all past, present and future officers, directors, employees and agents of the `Society’, including their heirs, successors and assigns. This shall be a continuing release which shall remain effective until revoked in writing.
