  • Peer Support Worker Programme

The peer support programme is specifically for individuals who have “lived experience” (direct experience of accessing secondary mental health services). The duration of the programme is ten weeks with learners attending virtual teaching sessions one day per week over the duration of the programme

You will achieve the Level 3 Peer Worker Certificate. The level 3 certificate is made up of two units designed to provide the skills and knowledge for adults in peer support roles. If you wish to progress into the new Level 3 Peer Worker Apprenticeship this certificate will be mapped and credited to the level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.

The programme will provide you with coaching to support and develop soft skills such as communication and time management if applicable, as well as preparing you for interview to apply for a contracted Peer Worker role if you wish to progress directly into employment.

The peer support worker programme is funding via the Greater London Authority (GLA) Skills Bootcamps funding and is available for London & fringe residents only. This funding is available to book in January dates only.
