ICA 2024/2025 Co-Chair Application

We are excited to welcome applications for the 2024/2025 Institute on the Curricular Approach Co-Chair role. The term will begin in Spring 2023 and conclude with the wrap up process for the October 2025 Institute.

*Note that submitting an ICA Co-Chair application is sufficient for consideration of being a member of the ICA Faculty and an additional ICA23 Faculty application is not required.

Week of January 9, 2023: Co-Chair Interviews for Potential Finalists
Friday, January 20, 2023: Selected Candidates Notified

ICA Co-Chair Qualifications

Previously attended at least two ACPA RCI/ICA Institutes;
Previously served on the ACPA RCI/ICA Faculty for at least one year;
Experience with developing and implementing a curriculum on their campus;
Demonstrated experience with leading and/or facilitating local, regional, and/or national presentations
Strong understanding of the core components, philosophy, and implementation of the Curricular Approach to Student Learning
Be a current member of ACPA.

The Institute on the Curricular Approach (ICA) Co-Chair provides:

Leadership for the ACPA ICA Faculty in coordination with a Co-Chair.
Organization for ACPA ICA Faculty conference calls.
Collaboration with the ACPA ICA Faculty to create a post-ICA Webinar for participants.
Curriculum oversight and revisions, to include expanding and innovating the ACPA ICA overall Institute and curriculum to meet the changing needs of the ICA attendees.

The ACPA International Office will provide the selected Co-Chair:

Travel expenses: Reimbursement for travel expenses to and from the Institute. The association expects all volunteers to be mindful of limited resources, and book according to the ACPA Volunteer Travel Policy (through Egencia).
Institute Registration: $595.00 Conference Registration Fee waived.
Lodging: Lodging will be provided in the conference block at the host hotel, and will be arranged by ACPA in a shared room with another participant. If individual travelers desire their own room, they can pay for the balance of the lodging - ½ of the room and tax charges.
Logistical Support: The ACPA International Office will provide all back end logistical support related to marketing, registration, hotel arrangements, food and beverage planning, and institute execution.

2024 ICA Dates are October 6 - 9, 2024 in Chicago.

2025 ICA Dates are TBD.
