Criteria: This award is presented to a current resident of Lawrence County who has, over a period of time:
Consistently demonstrated excellence in professional and community leadership.
Made, or is making, significant contributions to the welfare of the community through involvement and partnership.
Given freely of their time and energy for community betterment, contributing to positive economic growth and stability for the area.
The number of nominations for a single candidate do not factor into the decision made by the Voting Committee. The Voting Committee is made up of 16-18 individuals throughout the county who vote anonymously, and individually, and do not know the outcome or results until the day of the Annual Banquet where the nominees and recipients are honored.
