ELA Self-Evaluation Tool

Welcome! This form offers you an opportunity to reflect on the extent to which you address the MA Professional Standards for Teachers of ABE in your English Language Arts (ELA) instruction. Answer the following questions to receive input about your strengths and areas for growth. You may use the results in combination with other types of information (e.g., student evaluations, director observations, self-assessments provided in the ELA Proficiency Guide) to make decisions about the next steps in your professional development. Upon completion of the form, you'll receive an email with the results. Lower scores indicate less proficient areas, whereas higher scores indicate greater self-described proficiency in a particular standard. After you complete the self-assessment, please visit the SABES ELA website for information on ELA PD offerings and resources to address your professional goals.
