HOW TO NOMINATE SOMEONE FOR NEXTGEN 2023
STEP 1: Download a nomination form
First check their eligibility and then download a nomination form. You must complete every question. Full instructions are on the form. Once completed, save the PDF application form, ready for submission.
STEP 2: Complete nomination and submit by 13th February 2023. Applications will not be accepted any other way. You will receive an automated email to let you know that your nomination has been received. Check your spam if you do not receive it.
STEP 3: Assessment of your nomination We will assess your nomination and if your candidate is one of the four shortlisted, they will be invited to an interview with a panel of experts. If it is not approved, you will receive an email to let you know that your nomination has been unsuccessful. If successful, you will receive vouchers worth £250 for yourself.
STEP 4: The four shortlisted will be invited for interview on Tuesday 28th February, 2023 This is your nominees chance to meet the judging panel and the experts who they will be working with, should they win NEXTGEN 2023. They should prepare for a 15 minute pitch presentation of their business startup to answer the following questions.
What is the concept?
Why did you start it?
What is your ambition for it?
Why is it different or more compelling than what exists right now?
Where do you feel that you need most support
What would it mean to you personally if you won the NEXTGEN 2023?
Followed by a 15 minute Q&A session with the panel, where they ask you questions. Then finally ten minutes where you can ask the panel any questions you want.
Interviews will be conducted in the morning and afternoon by the judges, who will decide on the name of the winner, and this will be announced in the evening.

To make their interview day valuable, we will arrange for a number of experts to be available to answer any questions they have, to cover the following areas:
Marketing and sales
Legal
Finance and funding
Insurance
STEP 5: Attend NEXTGEN 2023 Event on Tuesday 28th February in Reading, Berkshire All shortlisted candidates will be invited to the NEXTGEN 2023 event as the interviews and the award takes place on the same day.

For the winner, business support starts for 12 months from 1st April 2023
THE WINNER WILL RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING:
1. Monthly business coaching sessions with Chris Paterson and Emma Newnham, Business Development Director and COO of WoodWhite Accountants. They have collectively helped many entrepreneurs and business owners navigate through their respective business journeys.
2. Free accountancy services for the first 12 months, to include:
a. Statutory accounts for the first year of trade
b. Corporation tax return for the first year of trade

RULES
You agree and confirm acceptance to these rules.
When you apply
Your business is within the first 6 months of operation from 1 July 2022 or you are an entrepreneur with a new idea which you have yet to launch and are based within 25 miles of Reading in Berkshire.
You confirm that you are available to attend an interview and attend the NEXTGEN 2023 event on Tuesday 28th February 2023.

You agree to hear from our sponsors or partners who we believe will be able to support you.
If you are shortlisted you agree to publicity from taking part and for us to follow and to promote your business story from 1 April 2023 for 12 months. This may take the form of interviews in person or via Zoom and/or photography and videography.
If you win NEXTGEN 2023 you agree to publicity from taking part and for us to follow and to promote your business story from 1 April 2023 for 12 months. This may take the form of interviews in person or via Zoom and/or photography and videography.
You agree to be a judge on the panel next year for NEXTGEN 2024 You agree to return the NEXTGEN trophy next year. I confirm acceptance to these rules.
