Outside Practical Request

1. For those who are looking for reciprocity in Oregon and need to practical to be eligible for state testing. 
2. For those who have let their license lapse and need to practical to reinstate their Oregon Esthetics license.
3. For students who graduated from the Aesthetics Institute but have exceeded the 365 day testing window.
4. There is a $500 testing fee.

Practical Test will Include:

1. Makeup Application- sanitary application of daytime professional makeup within 25 minutes.
2. Waxing:  Wax on lower arm and a set of eyebrows, tweezing any strays with in 25 Minutes
3. Body treatment on one lower leg within 10 min
4. Basic facial within 30 minutes

Scheduling & Communication
After you pay the $500 practical fee, the Director or designated proctor will contact you within 3 business days to confirm availability.
Availability depends on space and may require adjustments. Communication will primarily occur through email.

Practical Details
You will receive:

Your scheduled time
A detailed outline of all exam segments: Makeup, Waxing, Body Treatment, Basic Facial

Arrival & Setup
Arrive 30–40 minutes before your scheduled practical.
You will have 30 minutes to set up your stations.The Institute will provide: stool, treatment bed, towel warmer, mag light, wax pot, and wax.
You will receive a supply list of items you must bring.

Model Requirement
You are required to bring your own model for the practical examination.

Written Exam Resources
You will receive recommended study resources for the state written exam.
The Aesthetics Institute does not provide training for the written exam.

Rescheduling & Fees
Rescheduling or retaking the practical incurs a $50 fee.
No-shows must submit a new request and repay the $500 practical fee before scheduling again.
