  • Produce Survey and Registry

Authorized by Wis. Stat. § 93.06(1)(f)
  • This survey is an element of the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection’s (DATCP) annual review to determine how the federal Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule (PSR) applies to Wisconsin produce operations. Each farm should verify their information with Safe Wisconsin Produce (SWP) annually. By completing this survey you will:

    * Help create a better picture of farms in the state so that services can be better tailored to the state’s growers.

    * Have the opportunity to request non-regulatory services provided by the Safe Wisconsin Produce program including the Wisconsin Produce Farm Registry, Produce Safety Audits, and On-Farm Readiness Reviews.

    * Assist DATCP in building a produce farm database as part of a cooperative agreement between DATCP and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the implementation of the PSR under FSMA.

If you have questions about the survey email us at safeproduce@wi.gov or call (608) 224-4511.

Participation in this survey is voluntary. There are no legal consequences for choosing not to complete the questionnaire.
