The Diane Meader Schenk Commemorative Scholarship: $2,000.00 scholarship for students who will be attending a four-year college beginning in FY 2026, and who are active members of the LTHS Band or other musician ensemble.

Diane Meader Schenk Commemoration Scholarship
The Diane Meader Schenk Scholarship was first established in 2005. Resident and Lockport native as well as a 1973 graduate of LTHS, one of Diane’s fondest memories of her high school career remains her membership in the LTHS Marching Band as a flute player. She participated in the flute choir, as well as in the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra. It is her belief that this dedication to music began a practice of well-managed study habits which she carried over into her college career at Illinois State University. She minored in music, majored in health sciences, and continued to graduate school. She participated in the University’s Pep Band, orchestra, and performance studies tract.

Applications for the Diane Meader Schenk Commemorative Scholarship will be handled by the Lockport Township High School Foundation. An applicant must fill out the application form and submit the required documents as outlined in the Scholarship Brief.

The scholarship grant will be awarded at the high school’s awards night held annually in May.
