The Francis H. Gerrity Scholarship was established to commemorate Mr. “Gus” Gerrity’s years of teaching at Lockport School District 91 (Kelvin Grove/Milne Grove), one of Lockport Township High School District 205’s associate elementary school districts. Mr. Gerrity retired from teaching in 1991 after 38 years with District 91, where he taught junior high, 5th, and 4th grades. Mr. Gerrity touched the lives of countless children, who remember him for his ability to make learning enjoyable, his concern for his students, and his sense of humor.
