  • YAY, you're getting a tan! Let's get you prepared!

    Q&A:

    How do you do it?

Application involves me using an airbrush style, handheld spray gun to produced the most even coverage.

How long does it take to perform my tan?

Skin prep and spray tan application process takes about 10-15 minutes.

    What should I wear?

Please prepare to tan in what makes you feel most comfortable. Nude or in undergarments. *I can supply a disposable thong upon request only.

What if I have makeup on?

I have cleansing wipes for makeup and deodorant removal.

Will the tanning solution wash out of my clothes?

    Yes.

What about the dry areas of my body; hands, elbow, feet, patchy skin?

In those dryer areas, you will use a special skin barrier cream to help slow the rate of color processing.

Will I leave all sticky feeling?

Yes and No. After your session, I use a dusting powder to help the tackyness feeling, although this feeling can also weigh heavily on the natural humidity in the air. This isn't a requirement to "set a tan" but more of a courtesy for your comfort until you shower.

    Pre & Post Care:

    • Exfoliate and Shave a WHOLE DAY BEFORE your tan. Shaving right before tanning session may cause irritation and/or product to settle in pores. (No Bikini waxing day of tan).

    • Avoid body lotion on the day of your spray tan.

    • Prepare to tan nude or with bathing suit/bra/underware.

    • Bring a loose change of clothes to slip on after tan and slip on shoes.

    • Avoid bare skin on leather surfaces. Color could transfer. Inform tech if you have leather seats in car. (If you have already showered this will not be an issue).

    • Avoid touching, scratching, rubbing areas where your tan is processing. Any skin to skin contact can cause color transfer. (Nursing moms/Mom's with littles).

    • Shower with a mild body wash avoiding excessive rubbing with wash cloths or loofas. Pat skin dry and lightly apply a body moisturizer to rehydrate skin.

    Pro Tips:

    * If you are sleeping in your tan (meaning you haven’t showered) please make sure to wear loose long sleeve pants and shirt. This will help from unwanted possible creasing and color transfer.

    * Excessive sweating, showers/bath or sauna use along with major friction (such as a tight sports bra) can cause tan to lighten at a faster rate.
